The circuit board is the electronics that control the machine. On the Senseo Quadrante (HD7860 through HD7865) this is a part that can start to fail after years of use - think of a machine that no longer switches on, switches itself off, or keeps blinking without a clear cause.

Often the entire circuit board does not need to be replaced. In many cases it is the electrolytic capacitors and the capacitor that fail. A repair kit exists for replacing those components individually.

Soldering is required for this. If you can’t do it yourself, a local repair cafe can often help.
