Senseo descaling

Descaling regularly extends the lifespan of your machine and guarantees optimal operation for a long time.

To descale the Senseo:

1. Make sure there is no coffee pod in the pod holder.
2. Fill the water tank completely with water.
3. Add baking soda or a sachet of descaler to it.
4. Place a large bowl where the cups would normally stand. You need to empty this during the process, otherwise it will overflow!
5. Switch on the Senseo and immediately after that press the buttons for one and two cups at the same time. So do not wait until the machine has warmed up.
6. This process continues until the water tank is empty.
7. For the best results you should repeat the steps above once or twice.
8. Once you are done, repeat the steps above twice with plain water.

To descale the Latte Select:

1. Remove the milk container.
2. Make sure there is no coffee pod in the pod holder.
3. Place the blue descaling lever, located at the back (behind the water tank), where the milk container normally fits.
4. Fill the water tank completely with water.
5. Add baking soda or a sachet of descaler to it.
6. Place a large bowl where the cups would normally stand. You need to empty this during the process, otherwise it will overflow!
7. Press the “calc clean” button on top of the lid.
8. The entire process takes about 30 minutes for a Senseo Latte.
9. For the best results you should repeat the steps above once or twice.
10. Once you are done, repeat the steps above twice with plain water.
