Senseo shuts off too quickly
If your Senseo shuts off one or two seconds after you press the button for one or two cups of coffee, or if the coffee is not hot, the cause is the electronics on the circuit board.
If you are handy, you can also solve the problem yourself, for a couple of euros, by replacing the 470uF 16 volt electrolytic capacitor with a heavier 680uF electrolytic capacitor and replacing the block capacitor with an improved 0.47uF type. We hear good results from customers. On the internet you can find YouTube videos showing how to replace only the capacitor. But because the electrolytic capacitor is also a part that regularly fails, we recommend replacing both at the same time. Much easier while you already have the machine open!
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE PLUS AND MINUS WHEN PLACING THE ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR! Before you solder the parts onto the circuit board, the green coating on the circuit board must first be carefully scraped away at the contact points where the part will be soldered, otherwise the soldering will not take.
Replacing the electrolytic capacitor, capacitor and triac works the same way on other Senseo machines.
